Our History & Philosophy
Midbar Kodesh Temple was founded in 1995 and is now nestled in the heart of the masterplanned community of Green Valley Ranch. As Green Valley's Conservative congregation, we strive to meet the needs of all congregants, and create a warm neighborhood atmosphere, which members can call "home." Midbar Kodesh Temple is an affiliate of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism and we espouse a Conservative philosophy with the feel of a neighborhood congregation. Midbar Kodesh is a house of friends, of gathering and of prayer for all our members. We honor the value of family. Whether you are single, married, widowed, divorced or intermarried, we are here for you. Our growing and dynamic community of Jewish families is committed to providing education, social activities and other growing programs for every age group and Jewish interest. We commemorate the sacred moments of Jewish life through communal prayer. We welcome your participation at every synagogue service. We place much emphasis on quality Jewish education and focus on the creation of nurturing a spiritual and cultural environment for our children. Children are the integral part of our family and we welcome and encourage their participation at every synagogue service. At Midbar Kodesh Temple the merits of tzedekah, which urges us to help those in need and act kindly toward vulnerable members of our society, is also a high priority.
