The Boston Jewish Film Festival, held annually each November, showcases the finest contemporary films from around the world that explore and celebrate Jewish history, identity and culture.

In August 2004, almost 400 people assembled on a beach on Boston’s North Shore to attempt to set a record for world’s largest shofar ensemble. In the process of learning to blow so they can be counted, many participants who had lost their Jewish identity reconnect with faith and community. This documentary is their story.

The Florida Atlantic Region of Hadassah Jewish Film Festival, November 9-13, 2003, at the Boynton Cinema in Boynton Beach, Florida features films from around the world with a particular emphasis on films from Israel. The proceeds from the festival benefit the Center for Emergency Medicine at Hadassah Hospital at Ein Kerem, Jerusalem.
