JCCs of Chicago provides life-enriching programs and services to more than 35,000 Chicago-area children, adults and families each year. Through its seven Centers, 14 Early Childhood sites, eight day camp sites and an overnight camp in Lake Delton, Wis., JCC provides individuals of all ages and backgrounds year-round opportunities to enhance their lives through Jewish celebration and a variety of cultural, educational, social and recreational programs.

The Jewish Council on Urban Affairs has combated poverty, racism and anti-Semitism in partnership with Chicago's diverse communities since 1964. Guided by prophetic Jewish principles, JCUA pursues social and economic justice for Chicago's most vulnerable neighborhoods by promoting a vision of empowering communities from within.

Members are scattered about the North Shore. Monthly meetings are currently held in the Marshall Center of BJE located in the old New Trier West High School building on Happ Road in Northfield. The monthly speaker's topic is of general interest to genealogists with particular interest to Jewish genealogy. The society library has a similar focus.

A community of friends and extended families in Evanston, Ill., united by a love of Jewish tradition and a commitment to Jewish peoplehood, which we celebrate in a context of pluralism, egalitarianism, and innovation.
