Pannónia Klezmer Band |
The Pannónia Klezmer Band was founded seven years ago by Ferenc Gyula Zsákay. Six young, highly qualified musicians play together in the band. Drums and piano have been added to the traditional ensemble of clarinet, violin and TUBA. The band plays Eastern European Jewish folk music. They aim at preserving traditions. Their repertoire includes more and more of their own compositions besides the traditional Jewish (Klezmer) tunes. |

Pester Shul - a modern orthodox kehilla in Budapest |
The first initiative in Budapest in recent years to establish a modern orthodox Jewish community. We have different activities in the small, but very intimate Visegrádi street synagogue (XIII. Visegrádi u. 3., Budapest, Hungary), that is very close to the Western Railway Station (along the blue metro line). If you are visiting Budapest, and you would like to join a Shabbat service with lots of young Jews, within an open, but still traditional athmosphere, don't hesitate, contact us. |
